Carignano is a small, quiet, modern hotel in the
middle of the country-side, and yet near to the
town centre of Lucca - a bike ride away. The banks
of the River Serchio, only 100mts. from the hotel
have become an official bicycle route that lead
straight to Lucca. An impressively well-kept city,
surrounded by massive medieval walls that have
turned to be one of the worlds’ most beautiful
greenways, from which the awesome panorama of
this atypical Tuscan town can be seen from a most

hotel has its own restaurant, the Cantina di Carignano,
that has been run by the same family since 1881-
a cozy, warm place to indulge in good food and
wines while the crackle and spit of the large,
wood-burning oven recall other times and life-styles.
You will find all the local specialities, from
the homemade tortelli’s to oven-baked beans,
the best grilled meats and grand Tuscan wines.
In the summer, al fresco dinner is served in our
pleasantly fresh veranda. The Cantina is also
well known for the great pizzas and the warm focaccia
