The hotel "Dell Eremita" located next to the ancient hermitage "Eremo di Calomini" is a perfect lodging for families, groups and other travellers in Garfagnana. Its peaceful and quiet atmosphere promises a restful and renewing stay in the Apuan Alps and the province of Lucca.

The hotel and lodging is arranged into 8 rooms with an availability of 22 beds.
The restaurant is divided into two separate dining rooms. One is sheltered on a side by the mountain rock in the main building and another is a canopied perch overlooking the seasonal colors and heights of the valley.
We also offer rooms for meetings, seminars, small groups and parties. We have accommodation for whatever your lodging request might be at reasonable prices.

Over a thousand years ago the patient hands of untiring monks dug this prayer dwelling right out of the living mountain. Since then the Hermitage of Calomini has been sanctuary to the worship of the Virgin Mary. For centuries travelers and pilgrims have found refuge and solace for prayer and meditation.
At the end of the 18th century the original living quarters and the restaurant were restored where we now carry on the warm and hospitable traditions of the Garfagnana. In the restaurant we serve typical dishes of the area prepared exclusively with the aromatic herbs that grow wild and abundantly here in our mountains.

From Lucca take the S.P. Ludovica. Follow the signs for La Garfagnana until you reach Gallicano. Once in Gallicano, follow the signs for Eremo di Calomini and Grotta del vento. After 4 kilometers turn right onto the road for il santuario Eremo di Calomini.
